We went on the website http://www.tagxedo.com/ and had to make a picture made out of words that are most commonly used on my blog. This is what i made. The more often the word is used on the blog the bigger the word is. We could make it in different shapes, i chose a dove. :)

ICT Assignment

After thinking for ages for a topic to do for the ICT assignment i have decided that i will do it on Fashion. I chose this topic because i studied fashion at GCSE and therefore will have lots to write about. I also chose this becasue it is a topic that affects everyone everyday. Fashion is a way of expressing their opinions, and everyone prefers different things. Some people are dedicated to wearing what is the trend and will spend loads of money trying to get the latest trend. Others dont really care about it and will spend little money on whatever they can afford, not really caring at all.

For my final piece i will make a dress :D Using my super duper sewing machine!

Guest speaker 2 - Russell Grigg

Dr Russell Grigg, the Head of South West Wales Centre of Teacher Education was our guest speaker this week. He talked about Estyn - Estyn is the education and training inspectorate for Wales. He told what Estyn do, how he is involved with it, and he showed us examples of different reports and inspections. :)

Mandy showed us a website where we can save web pages so we can find them wherever we go. From this we can also see what other people have saved on their user name. For example, if i type in http://delicious.com/peacehome i can see the websites that mandy has saved on hers. This is very handy as i can save websites on there from when im in lectures, and still can get the websites when im at home on my laptop.

In today's ICT lesson we had to use different websites to create graffiti with a word of our choice. I used my name, Gabby. The website was called www.graffiticreator.net. We typed the word we wanted in the box and then experimented with different tools, changing the size, colour, position and pattern on the word. Then i saved the picture when i was happy with it to put on my blog :) This is it....

Then we used another website called text-image.com. On this website it asked to pick a photo and change it so the photo is made up of words and digits. You could change the colour of the words and the background to make it look different. This is it ....

Christmass!! :)

I went home for Christmas this week :)Yay! But when i was home i made sure i didn't waste my 3 weeks off! ;) I sorted out my folder and put everything in order!
I went to The Range and bought my materials that i needed for Caroline's assignment for my toy. I decided that i was going to make puppets. I bought some material, bobbly eyes, and other arty craft things to decorate them and make them look like the animals. I didnt have time over christmas to start making the toys so i bought my sewing machine back to uni with me so i can do it here.
I spent most of my chrsitmas with family, visiting everyone :) It was lo9vely to be home, but im glad to be back in swansea :D
